'Tis the season for dips and appetizers! This gem of a dip is from my favorite food blogger, How Sweet Eats. I adore everything about this 7 layer Greek dip because there is so much flavor packed into each layer.
Combining tzatziki, humus, feta, and loads of veggies just screams grab a chip and dive into this crazy Greek flavor party. Maybe I am biased, but the proof is in the left over, empty bowl every time I make it :)
I made some slight changes to the original recipe by including a layer of my family's tzatziki recipe. I also love the idea of making a batch of How Sweet Eats' crazy feta, but ran out of time. It's on my must try list for the next time I make this. The great thing about this dip is how easy it is to make and how well it keeps. You can make this the night before and bring it with you to a party or event.
With all the veggies, it is a pretty healthy dip, which makes snacking much more fun!
7 Layer Greek Dip
I found it easier to drain, wash, and chop all of the other ingredients first (olives, artichokes, tomato, and cucumber). Start to layer the ingredients in a large class bowl, this is the order I followed: tzatziki sauce, chopped olives, hummus, chopped artichoke hearts, feta, tomatoes, and cucumber. Finish by sprinkling salt and pepper over the tomatoes and cucumber and top with minced fresh dill. You can layer the ingredients in any order and feel free to substitute or remove ingredients based on your preferences.
Serve this dip with pita chips, gluten free chips, or veggies. This dip is so flavorful, every time I make it, it is a HUGE hit!
