These little bites are the perfect healthy treat because they are gluten free, dairy free, and they are protein muffins! Not to mention these little bites pack a flavorful punch. The mix of fresh blueberries and lemon zest is such a magical combination.
Roasted chickpeas are my new go to snack idea. I love the crunchy texture and the endless variations. If you are in the mood for sweet, salty, or savory, you can easily whip up a batch of satisfying roasted chickpeas.
Football season is well underway and my favorite game time snack is spinach and artichoke dip. There is something magical about taking healthy spinach and pairing it with bubbly cheese, garlic, and your favorite crackers.
Growing up, I was lucky to have a mother who enjoyed baking tasty quick breads. She introduced me to the world of fresh, summer zucchini bread. As a special treat or holiday gift she would make my Nana's banana bread, which was always a family favorite. Today one of my ultimate comfort foods is a warm slice of banana bread along side my morning coffee.
I have been on a smoothie kick lately. After a crazy couple of weeks of traveling, I am finally reunited with my blender and they taste so good!
Anyways, this smoothie is a blend of my two favorite fruits. Strawberries and bananas go together like chocolate and peanut butter, they are the perfect match.
Have you ever tried a Gyro sandwich before? It is a grilled meat (chicken, pork, beef or lamb) sandwich that comes with lots of vegetables and this amazing cucumber sauce. Well, if so, that tasty cucumber sauce should ring a bell because it is called tzatziki sauce!
Despite the complicated name, tzatziki sauce is extremely easy to make. My family enjoys tzatziki sauce as an appetizer dip with vegetables and pita chips.
I also enjoy tzatziki with grilled chicken and steak. Not to mention on chicken gyros...to die for!
